Selling is theater. So learn how to create fun shopping experiences that lure new and
repeat customers with Creating Product Appeal. This video program focuses
on why consumers buy the products they do and how merchandising influences their buying
decisions. It looks at the importance of suggestive selling, sampling, displays, and event
merchandising. Remember, about 85% of customers buy supermarket bakery products
impulsively.
Following the completion of Creating Product Appeal, associates will be able
to:
- Give at least two reasons why creating product appeal is important in your bakery.
- Explain at least three techniques for packaging and labeling products that are visually
appealing and give a consistent look.
- Stock products using proper rotation, display and signing techniques.
- Explain the term product promotion and give three desired results from using
bakery product promotions.
Completion time: Self study, 2 hours
